    Director of Alumni Networking

    The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Head of Advancement, the Director of Alumni Networking (Director) develops a new way to engage alumni by establishing alumni cohorts and networks that connect graduates to each other and the university and support their work and lives. The Director works with alumni to create the networks and opportunities for engagement with the university that work for the particular network and works with the on-campus cohort support teams to provide a menu of programs, and campus-based opportunities, including educational programs, that can be selected for use by the networks or individual alumni. The Director monitors networks to ensure they are engaging their constituents regularly and continually evaluates and redesigns structures to make the networks meaningful. Through facilitating strong lifelong alumni relationships, the Director strengthens the university community and the lives of its graduates.


    Qualities and Capabilities

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, Master's degree preferred.
    • Three to five years of successful experience in communications, advancement, alumni relations, marketing, annual giving, or a comparable role that includes an acknowledged work history showing creative productivity is required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with public speaking skills preferred.
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, evidenced through a track record of advancing equity goals and long-standing institutional partnerships around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
    • Experience optimizing Raiser's Edge
    • Proven success building relationships with multiple constituencies within organizations.
    • Ability to link university-wide issues with opportunities for fundraising.
