Sociedad Latina's youth programming offers young people a safe, nurturing environment that focuses on social-emotional skill development, builds positive relationships with caring adults and promotes a positive cultural identity with the goal of supporting youth to grow into confident, competent, self-sustaining adults who are proud of their culture and language.

Full Time Alumni Success Program Coordinator Summary:

Sociedad Latina is seeking a dynamic full-time Alumni Success Program Coordinator to work under the Associate Director and assist in building out the organization's Alumni Fellows Program.

The Fellows Program places Sociedad Latina Alumni in a 1 and 2 year fellowship program to work directly with middle & high school students to support and implement the organization's youth out of school time programs as well as support the general operations of the organization.

The goal of the Alumni Fellows Program is to equip Sociedad Latina's high school graduates and college students with a hands-on job opportunity to explore careers in the nonprofit sector.

Sociedad Latina seeks a mission-driven staff to join our team and support multiple cohorts of high school graduates and college students, many of whom are first-generation, low-income, multilingual learners and who may be attending partner colleges/universities.

The Alumni Success Program Coordinator will also oversee the Alumni Network and work in partnership with the Alumni Advisory Council.

The goal of the Alumni Network is to promote and support social and professional connections for Sociedad Latina's Alumni with the goal of building a network between and across class years.

The Alumni Network will also serve as a way for Alumni to support the organization's larger policy issues affecting the Latine community, where Alumni can participate in activities that contribute to, and benefit Sociedad Latina, its current program participants as well as promote the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities for the Fellowship Program:
Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Alumni Program Coordinator will:

• Work to build out all facets of the Alumni Fellows Program and the Alumni Network
• In collaboration with the College & Career Pathways Manager, support Alumni Fellows to address personal and academic challenges, create a postsecondary plan and promote selfadvocacy.
• Coordinate and/or provide weekly professional development workshops for Alumni Fellows.
• Observe Alumni Fellows in programs/departments & provide timely feedback & coaching.
• Support Alumni Fellows in navigating the transition process from the 1 & 2 year Fellowship program into a staff position at Sociedad Latina or other nonprofit.
• Collaborate with Program Director & Managers, to support Alumni Fellows; coordinate and promote program events, and workshop facilitation.
• Collaborate with Program Director & Managers for annual recruitment of Alumni Fellows (info sessions, orientation, etc)

Duties & Responsibilities for Alumni Advisory Council & Alumni Network:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director the Alumni Success Program Coordinator will:

• Create & maintain linked in, Facebook, Instagram accounts and a database of Alumni contact information.
• Support and work with the Alumni Advisory Council to develop an active Alumni Network including

developing & implementing events to gather as well as activate Alumni.

• Develop & promote opportunities for Alumni to volunteer in programs, to mentor, provide job shadowing and/or internship opportunities for Sociedad Latina youth participants.
• Work with the Alumni Advisory Council to develop annual Alumni giving campaign and signature event(s).
• Develop an Alumni speakers Bureau to assist the organization with fundraising and visibility opportunities.
• Provide opportunities for expanded knowledge through coordinating workshops and/or or sharing internal and external opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Development Manager to develop social media marketing strategies; Maintain an active social media presence to provide alumni with professional development, employment, networking and civic engagement opportunities.
