Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance our company's reputation, promote our brand, and drive awareness of our financial publications and products. The Public Relations Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to craft compelling messaging, secure media coverage, and manage crisis communications effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to support the company's financial publishing objectives and business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers in the financial industry to secure media coverage and feature placements.
Create engaging press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials to effectively communicate key messages and promote our financial publications and products.
Coordinate press events, media interviews, and press tours to generate buzz and excitement around new financial publications and initiatives.
Monitor media coverage and industry trends, and provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders on media sentiment and public perception.
Manage crisis communications and reputation management efforts, including preparing statements, responding to media inquiries, and mitigating negative publicity.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and sales, to ensure alignment and integration of public relations efforts with overall marketing and business strategies.
Identify opportunities for thought leadership and speaking engagements for company executives and subject matter experts in the financial publishing space.
Track and measure the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
Stay informed about developments and trends in the financial publishing industry, and proactively identify opportunities to position the company as a leader and innovator.

Qualifications/Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in the financial services or publishing industry.
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing public relations campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness and engagement.
Strong media relations skills, with a network of contacts in the financial media landscape.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and narratives.
Crisis communication and issues management experience.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and insights to inform decision-making.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation.
Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
