- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers based on contractual terms and agreements.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices promptly to ensure timely collection.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and mail to resolve billing inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
- Process customer payments received via checks, credit cards, ACH, and other electronic payment methods.
- Reconcile customer accounts and apply payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded in the accounting system.
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, disputes, and deductions in collaboration with internal departments, such as sales and customer service.
- Review and analyze customer payment patterns and trends to identify potential issues and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address customer concerns and facilitate the resolution of payment disputes to maintain positive customer relationships.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of collection efforts, customer communications, and payment arrangements.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, bad debt analysis, and reporting.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and collections.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently and efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in St. Louis, MO. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring timely collection of receivables. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving outstanding balances. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our company and collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize the accounts receivable process.
Responsibilities:
