    Description

    Job Summary:

    The Community Engagement Support Specialist, reporting to the Community Engagement Coordinator, plays a vital role in fostering community relationships. This position involves assisting with programs aimed at developing understanding and obtaining informed consent regarding policies, projects, and services.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Support community involvement initiatives and projects to facilitate understanding and obtain informed consent regarding policies, projects, and services.
    • Collaborate with various departments to contribute to the design and development of public communication materials.
    • Exercise judgment and decision-making skills to present projects professionally to the public.
    • Coordinate community meetings and events effectively, including documentation and evaluation.
    • Analyze community data, proposing strategies for issue resolution.
    • Identify operational challenges and recommend improvements to enhance services and community trust.
    • Communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
    • Assist in managing and updating web content for accurate presentation of information.
    • Support Safety Management Systems process by prioritizing safety and security.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
    • Two years of relevant experience.
    • Proficiency in word processing, web design, or spreadsheet applications.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Understanding of project management principles.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Word Suite applications.
    • Ability to coordinate events and establish effective relations.
    • Flexibility to work varied hours.
