    Description

    Location: Open to applicants in any Brilliant Corners region (Los Angeles, San Diego, SF Bay Areas). The role will require occasional visits to Brilliant Corners offices-- minimum of once per month. Applicants must be California residents.

    Compensation: $85, $95,000.00 per year, exempt

    ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

    Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to those transitioning from or at risk of homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veteran services, and health care sectors.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Data and Tech Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, enhancement, execution, and maintenance of various product lines in Salesforce and other software utilized at Brilliant Corners. They will be responsible for identifying and understanding user needs, outlining product enhancements, creating product roadmaps, and prioritizing buildouts. The Product Manager will lead product teams (Salesforce Administrators, Project Managers, and others) to implement enhancements and new tools. To be successful in this position, candidates will bring excellent people skills, a dedication to improving user experience, and long-term planning and road mapping experience. Preferred candidates will be creative and driven with the ability to bring ideas to life.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead Product Teams through all phases of product identification, development, enhancement, maintenance, and assessment
    • Generate product ideas and details, such as user stories, mock-ups, and project scopes, by collecting and analyzing information about end-user and business needs and goals
    • Analyze trends, user data, and business metrics to inform product decisions
    • Develop product roadmaps for various product lines, to align with and support program directives, reporting requirements, and strategic goals
    • Create and maintain clear product management tools, documentation, and protocols
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to build buy-in and commitment of resources for product initiatives
    • Collaborate closely with Training and Support to ensure success in product QA and launch
    • Consistently and comprehensively communicate with product team about product roadmap, project scopes, and overall product vision and goals
    • Coordinate with other Product Manager(s) and Data and Tech leadership to align product roadmaps and manage product overlap
    • Proactively evaluate, manage, and escalate risks throughout the product lifecycle
    • Facilitate meetings or working groups as needed, including but not limited to scoping meetings, focus groups, kick-off meetings, and milestone meetings
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Required:

    • Demonstrated skills and experience in product lifecycle management from conception to launch, enhancement, and retirement
    • Experience leading and managing diverse, cross-functional teams and driving them toward common goals
    • A history of innovative and strategic product management thinking that showcases the ability to develop and execute creative solutions to complex challenges
    • Familiarity with cloud-based project management software tools
    • Experience in designing products focused on enhancing user experience and satisfaction
    • Excellent people skills, specifically a capacity for collaboration and interpersonal relationships
    • Proven skills in managing, negotiating, and influencing internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
    • Expert problem solving, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities
    • Skilled juggler, with the ability to manage and meet multiple competing deadlines
    • Clear and effective communicator, able to articulate complex product strategies to various audiences. Presentation experience preferred.

    Strongly Preferred:

    • Certified Product Manager or equal years of Product Management experience
    • Technical knowledge of Salesforce and integrations with third-party platforms
    • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a preference for certified Scrum Masters or similar qualifications
    • Non-profit housing services experience
