The Adjunct Faculty Instructor provides subject matter expertise.Additional responsibility to teach courses, adhering to lesson plans, meeting course objectives, beginning and ending courses on time as scheduled and adhering to academic faculty ethical and professional behaviors.
Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirementsMaintains accurate and complete scholastic records, including but not limited to course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters and attendance records.
Maintains industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.This will be an in-person class during the day for our Shocker Academy at WSU West campus.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English/Communications Adjunct to inspire and engage with students in the field of language literature, and critical thinking.
Education:
Master's Degree in English or related field to English, OR Master's Degree plus 18 graduate credit hours in the related teaching discipline, required .
Previous teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.Ability to use personal computer and software applications, strong Microsoft Office skills.
