    Job Description


    This position is for a robust, holistic approach to Product Management that will address business, marketing and new product introduction aspects of a Product.

    The Product Manager is responsible for managing products within a segment of the solar industry. The position requires strong cross- functional leadership experience. A strong background in financials, product development, and planning is essential. Senior position expected to contribute as player/coach, managing segment and helping to develop other earlier career product managers.

    Primary Responsibilities/Duties

    Utilize in-depth analytical skills to make rationale assessments of the market, customers, and competitors that will be used for developing product plans
    Responsible for full product life cycle from new product introduction to end of life, developing long-term product strategies and lifecycle plans
    Lead customer feedback sessions on products using methods that lend to unbiased feedback and real buying potential
    Managing a new product through the entire product development process
    Incorporate relevant industry building code standards into product requirements and educate impacted parties on the compliance of the product to applicable regulations
    Support the creation of marketing messages, content, go-to-market strategy
    Develop and provide product training to Sales and the broader organization

    Skill Requirements

    Over 5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Operations , preferably in the product industries
    Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
    Knowledgeable in the day-to-day operations of a business (i.e., the external environment of the industry, basic strategies a business could take to compete in the market, etc.)
    Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams
    Strong organizational and time-management skills
    Strong communication (presentation, written, verbal) and presentation skills
    Understanding of product development and manufacturing processes
    Understanding of basic financial concepts and ability to apply these concepts (i.e., gross margin, EBIT, etc.)
    Basic working knowledge of intellectual property concepts (patent infringement, patentability of a product, etc.)
    Must be proficient in MS Power Point, Word, Excel and Project

    Education Requirements

    Undergraduate degree in business/technical field
    5+ years of similar experience
