- Communicates with sponsors and individual donors around their benefits and facilitates a positive experience at events and festivals.
- Tracks donor and member pledges and contributions and secures payments in a timely manner.
- Tracks and documents benefits committed to all sponsors and members and ensure all benefits are executed in collaboration with other departments.
- Assists with preparing donor acknowledgment, including tax letters.
- Assists with the preparation of grant applications and reports.
- Supports the execution of sponsorship or donor activations during events.
- Coordinates different elements of event production for galas, dinners, receptions, or parties.
- Solicits in-kind support in relation to fundraising events as directed.
- Alignment to the organization's stated mission and values.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- A few years of experience in a role with a development, administrative, event production, or non-profit organization background.
- Previous experience meeting the needs of individual donors and corporate sponsors.
- Excellent relationship management & networking skills.
- Self-starter with strong initiative, drive, sense of urgency & ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Proven & effective team collaboration and project management skills.
- High level of comfort working large in-person events, handling pressure, and understanding a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

(Part-Time // Year-Round)
MISSION:
The New Orleans Film Society is a 501(c) (3) arts non-profit organization whose mission is to discover, cultivate, and amplify diverse voices of filmmakers who tell the stories of our time. We produce the Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival annually and invest year-round in building a vibrant film culture in the South to share transformative cinematic experiences with audiences and connect dynamic filmmakers to career-advancing resources.
VALUES STATEMENT:
New Orleans Film Society is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic development coordinator to support the development department's fundraising efforts. This role will be mostly involved with administrative and donor event production tasks. Therefore, the ideal candidate should show great organizational skills and previous project/event management work.
The hours for this position will fluctuate throughout the year based on the events/donor campaign calendar, but it will average 20 hours/week year-round. This position will require working evenings/weekends around the live events, and the increased hours (up to 40h/week) will fall mostly ahead of those events/campaigns.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
This position is part-time and non-exempt, and the hourly compensation is $20 per hour.
Regular part-time staff members are eligible to receive the following benefits:
Location
New Orleans Film Society staff are working on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days a week in the office and a portion remote. The candidate should live in the New Orleans metro area or be willing to relocate to start the position. The New Orleans Film Society is not able to offer a relocation package.
