    Description
    Senior Business Analyst
    Contract Duration 12+ months
    Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects.

    These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved.

    Works with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate, and prioritize the business needs/requirements
    Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
    Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics
    Participates in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to use
    Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
    Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
    Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
    Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders
    Manages, enforces and redefines (as necessary) the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
    Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
    Participates in the testing effort throughout the project lifecycle, including test script creation
    BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience
    Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodology
    Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
    Proven experience with business IT applications
    Ability to lead and influence decision-making working with senior management at *** Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
    Experience with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
    Working knowledge of SQL
    Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
    Experience working with Electric Distribution/Transmission/Substation work and asset management processes
    Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver on significant technology solutions/business process improvements from concept to implementation
    Power gen exp ( MSP note: assets for Power Generation, could be hydro, electric, etc.)

    SAP Module:
    Field Service Management - Very good to have utilities similar to *** SAP Work and Asset Management focusing on Electric Distribution, Transmission, Substation
    Client laptops will be provided to local or located within the client's service territory. If outside the *** territory and/or out of state, the vendor should provide the equipment or the worker's personal.
    Remote, onsite as needed, and will probably be limited to 1-2 times/month
    Non-locals must be willing and committed to work PST hours.
