    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Dior Business Development Manager drives total omni channel business within an identified Key City through partnership with a team of Account Executives (AE), Key Account Managers (KAM), e-commerce, and local retail partners.


    The Dior Business Development Manager is responsible for oversight and analysis of market and field trends, and is the strategic arm of the brand, executing the company vision at the most important part of the client journey, point of sale.


    The Dior Business Development Manager role is in place to accelerate rank, gain market leadership, and improve brand image across Key Cities and doors by focusing on Client Data Analysis/CRM, acceleration of Luxury/Premium franchises and upholding strict brand guidelines.


    Key Performance Indicators:
    Clientele/Customer Relationship Management

    Develops, Leads, Coaches and Analyzes behaviors associated, by account, with the Dior National toolkit to ensure DIOR is the premier brand in the store for return engagement.

    Partners with Retail Management to optimize and accelerate customer acquisition and repeat visits.

    Exceeds the market, store and retail benchmark for excellence in CRM and shares this information weekly, monthly with Regional Director, RVP and SVP.

    Premium Skincare and Haute Perfumerie

    Understands the elevation and the amplification needed within the market by key retailers to build Premium Skincare and Haute Perfumerie in the US.

    Sets and manages ambitious goals by market, door, Beauty Consultant (BC) and Selling Specialist to achieve top 3 ranking for Premium Skincare and Haute Perfumerie in the department.

    Create development plans by counter and BC to ensure the goals are met.
    Works with Marketing to host Image and Volume driving events, that are in line with benchmarks set globally.
    Guardian of Brand Image

    The BDM Is the brand steward across the market to ensure Dior quality standards are met in every retailer, at each point of sale.

    This includes merchandising guidelines, event protocols, Image guidelines for BCs, Freelance and all Dior Ambassadors, and social media.

    Is the decision maker in the market on how Dior is presented at events, retailer virtual activations and Pop-up animations.

    Teaches Account Executives and Counter Managers on Dior standards and protects the brand image above all.


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    Area Omni Strategy

    Develop a plan to achieve and exceed Omni sales goals for a specified area based on expectations for sales and penetration through CRM and market trends.

    Work with Regional Director to align with AEs and KAMs, create dynamic market plans, and uphold sales plan achievement and brand image.

    Partner with the e-commerce and digital teams to bring synergy to online and instore events.
    People Development and Calendar Management
    Manage the Field Operations Coordinator and support team to fully execute the duties needed to maintain the market calendar.
    Support and manage the market Dior Show Artist (DSA), NSE, and Celebrity events. **Define NSE

    Maximize the market calendar to ensure all tools, POSM, VM, TOAs, samples and testers are deployed in the most efficient ways.

    Review Key City and door performance with AEs and collaborate with them on improvement strategies and tactics.
    Promote Dior values and encourage creativity, innovation, and risk taking.
    Financial Analysis and Budget Management
    Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growth and gaps for improvement.
    Analyze and track CRM for retailers.
    Analyze and track Key doors through NPD and local market guidance. **Define NPD
    Identify and Measure Market Share opportunities.
    Complete demographic analysis.
    Manage T&E budget following corporate guidelines.
    Retailer Relationships

    Cultivate an added level of relationships with Regionals Vice Presidents, Regional Merchants, District merchants, and Store Managers to support the AEs in the market.

    Create retailer event strategy in partnership with digital and social sellers, as well as top retail talent.
    Provide input for Key Account strategies based on knowledge of in-store activity and opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Must have a valid driver's license
    5+

    years of sales experience in cosmetics or retail sales
    Prior experience as a people manager
    Proven experience in hiring, training, and developing sales personnel
    Strong understanding and knowledge of leading beauty and fragrance brands and their competitive positioning
    Strong understanding of operating practices of key Multi-Brand, Department Store, and Specialty retailers

    Hours of work must be flexible to meet the job requirements, as it is required to travel to out of market meetings with overnight stays at a minimum of 2 times a year, noting that some markets will require overnight travel 20-60% of the time.


    Critical Skills Required:

    People Management:
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team of sales personnel

    Relationship Building:
    Ability to network actively and establish strong client relationships

    Planning and Execution:
    Experience in developing innovative in-store events and creative solutions for operational issues

    Business Analytics:
    Experience in using analytical metrics to assess business performance and create action plans

    Organization:
    Experience in organizing all facets that play into a robust area marketing calendar.

    Must be able to manage multiple account priorities at a given time.

    Executive Agility and Innovation:


    Must be comfortable with planning, executing and analyzing programs as well as quickly pivoting and adapting to retail trends, market anomalies, and company guidelines.


    Special Projects:
    The Dior Business Development Manager will be integral in the planning and execution of special projects in their Key City
