    Role Overview.

    The Senior System Security Engineer (SSE) will be an expert in anti-tamper, cyber security, and supply chain trust. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of vulnerabilities and countermeasures across various system types, including microcontrollers and FPGA-based systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct vulnerability analysis
    • Identify system vulnerabilities
    • Propose architectural changes for enhanced security
    • Develop security design and requirements
    • Document system design and requirements
    • Stay updated on security trends
    • Provide guidance and training to customers
    • Participate in industry working groups
    • Assist in training efforts

    Requirements.

    • US Citizenship
    • Ability to obtain security clearance
    • 5+ years of experience in embedded systems security
    • Strong knowledge of crypto algorithms and hardware/software vulnerabilities
    • Understanding of computer architecture
    • Experience with key management
    • Degree in relevant field
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications.

    • Active US Security Clearance
    • Knowledge of applied cryptography
    • Hands-on experience with cyber security
    • Experience in program protection plans
    • Familiarity with CPU design
    • Understanding of Operating System architecture

    Location.

    • Preferred location: Idaho Scientific headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
