About Jaron Spinler:

Raised in a military household in Spring, Texas, I developed a passion for entertainment early on. From tinkering with YouTube parodies to showing early promise as the director of my high school’s news show, my enthusiasm for comedy and filmmaking knew no bounds. I was always the chatterbox, always claiming I will be the best filmmaker and comedian without question.

Yet, a pivotal moment came when my mother, frustrated by my academic laziness at the time, imparted wisdom that resonated deeply: "If you want to be the best you have to work harder and never quit no matter how hard it gets." This revelation transformed my perspective. I couldn’t afford to linger as a teenage idler; I had to start hustling now.

Not long after, I ventured into stand-up comedy—an aspiration since my preteen years. At 16, I boldly reached out to a comedy club, securing a weekend guest spot. I wish I could say I killed and became a headliner right after, but I would be a liar. I stumbled so spectacularly that they cut my time short. It was a harsh but crucial lesson in the reality of trial and error.

Post high school, I enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University to delve into film. Though seemingly a normal state school in a redneck town in East Texas, SFA offered the hands-on guerrilla style filmmaking I craved. Here, I honed my craft through endless iterations, mastering the nuances of shooting and editing. Me and my good friend assembled a crew for a passion project of creating a feature film. It was the hardest project of my life, but we finished it with many people loving it.

While college was a blast, it began feeling mundane. Craving a challenge, I departed prematurely, setting my sights on Austin to rekindle my first love: stand-up comedy. Little did I know, navigating the comedic world in Austin would be a mountain to climb. I got a full-time job as the lead editor at a videography company for construction and real-estate while grinding comedy at night. Soon, I got a call to shoot a show at the prestigious Vulcan Gas Company. My work left them in awe, leading to an offer as their videographer and editor. An alignment of stars happened as I found a job in my two greatest passions, standup and film.

Word of my work spread swiftly, ushering in a stream of gigs and able to make major moves in stand-up. At the tender age of 22, I found myself carving out a career in both video production and stand-up comedy.

Experience

I been learning video since I was 14 and been doing it professionally for more than 2 years. I started by studying film at Stephen F. Austin and had an internship with Barstool Sports while attending. I edited a feature length film and got a job right after college doing video for construction and real-estate. Today I do video for live events mainly stand up comedy being the resident videographer for Vulcan Gas Company
