Ray Merritt

I have been working as a graphic design professional for more than 22 years, from a student employee at the University Bookstore at BYU-Idaho to my current position with Progressive Publishing. Along the way, I have honed skills taught to me in my education at BYU-Idaho and learned many new ones such as video and podcast production, drone photography and videography, commercial printing, website design, trade show marketing, magazine layout, and design, as well as managing projects effectively, and in a timely manner. Through it all, I have followed design principles to guide and establish consistent branding with Progressive Publishing, advise advertisers of best practices to consistently communicate their messages with their audiences, and generate compelling magazine designs for the audiences of publication titles for Progressive Publishing. 

Through professional development, I have had the opportunity to learn and teach groups and individuals about graphic design and technology in a variety of settings. I have also given back to my community through service opportunities in the Boy Scouts of America, Babe Ruth Baseball and Softball, and church leadership.
