Job DescriptionDescription:SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Co-Director of the Violence Prevention and Intervention Program is responsible for co-leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive strategies and initiatives aimed at preventing and intervening in violence within the community. This role involves collaboration with community partners, oversight of program staff, and management of program budgets and grants. The Co-Director ensures the program's strategies are evidence-based and culturally relevant, striving to create a safe and supportive environment for all community members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership and Strategy: Co-lead the development and implementation of violence prevention and intervention strategies. Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-informed adjustments to meet community needs.
Community Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community leaders to develop a coordinated response to violence. Engage community members in program planning and implementation to ensure culturally relevant and effective interventions.
Staff Management and Development: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of program staff and volunteers. Provide leadership and support to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional development opportunities.
Budget and Grant Management: Co-manage program budgets, including grant writing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Seek out new funding opportunities to support and expand program initiatives.
Policy Development and Advocacy: Develop policies and procedures that support violence prevention and intervention efforts. Advocate for local, state, and federal policies that promote safety and support victims of violence.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff, partners, and the community on violence prevention and intervention strategies, trauma-informed care, and related topics.
Crisis Response and Support: Lead the response to violence incidents within the community, coordinating support services for victims and their families, and implementing crisis intervention strategies.
This position requires compliance with all of The PRCC's written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, all policies and procedures, and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong leadership and management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of community partners and stakeholders; knowledge of trauma-informed care principles; proficient in conflict resolution and crisis management.
SKILLS:
· Ability to interface effectively with members of a culturally and professionally diverse staff, outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred), conflict resolution skills, consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures, diplomatic/tactful, independent thinking/sound judgement, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, management skills, organizational skills, performance management, problem solving skills, training capabilities
EDUCATION:
Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
OSHA Category 3 – Involves no regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.
