    ABOUT LOS ANGELES EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP (LAEP)Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) is a non-profit organization that advances educational equity.

    Together with families, schools, and the community we facilitate access to and opportunities for quality educational and wellness practices so that children thrive from diapers to diplomas.

    Founded in 1984, LAEP was the first educational-transformation organization in Los Angeles and among those at the forefront of the movement nationwide.

    POSITION SUMMARYThe Transform Schools Coordinator will be hired by LAEP and supervised by the Director of Community Schools.

    The TS Program Coordinator will work closely with the TS team, schools, and partners to ensure effective coordination and administration of services in the day-to-day operations.

    The PC will be responsible for creating coherent systems and processes for budgets, expenditures, contracts, invoicing, data collection and evaluation, and tracking of deliverables.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Program CoordinationSupport Transform Schools (TS) pass-thru grant relationshipsProcess or draft correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentationProvide support for the hiring of new staffDevelop forms and flyers as needed for Transform Schools programsProvide logistical support for Transform Schools' meetings, programs, professional development and eventsMaintain equipment and requisition office supplies as needed for all Transform Schools programsRespond to general Transform Schools inquiries and delegate director level inquiriesProvide Department-wide meeting supportDevelop strong collaborative relationships with partners, government, community-based organizations, and partner school staffFinancial CoordinationSupport management in maintaining and the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, data collection, and file storage systemsAssist with and monitor budget and finance trackingSupport TS contractors including contract management and hour trackingMaintain accurate and current financial documents, including tracking budgetsCoordinate logistics and payment of retreats for partner schoolsSupport the consulting work including logistics, contract management, and invoicingDevelopment and Evaluation CoordinationAssist management in the develop of systems for data & information tracking, gathering, and reportingCollect, organize, and disseminate partner school qualitative and quantitative dataSupport program directors with compliance and maintenance of grants and contractsAssist program directors with grant proposalsGeneral Office ResponsibilitiesParticipate in LAEP activities that support the culture and successes of LAEP.Participate in project team meetings and other meetings with project staff and key partners to collaborate and review progress.

    Facilitate communication including, e.g., a department directory and a monthly electronic newsletter.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNo supervisory responsibility for employees or worker (Individual Responsibility)RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)3 years of experience in clerical/administrative work2 years working in a school/educational settingExcellent organizational skills and superb attention to detailGood oral and written communication skillsComputer skills required.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel and Google Suite.

    Background working with schools, parents, or community agencies preferredBA required, preferably in a related field such as education or social workExcellent communication and organizational skills; strong written and interpersonal skillsExcellent project management skills, ability to balance multiple priorities with proven ability to anticipate challenges, solve problems and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situationsStrong analytical, time management, organizational and interpersonal skillsKnowledge and/or experience with change management as it relates to positive organizational change.

    Experience managing budgetsGrowth and equity focused mindsetExperience working with students of diverse abilities & backgroundsDemonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a teamBuilds excellent rapport and relationships with colleagues and clientsLICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS (IF APPLICABLE)Daily driving could be required, must provide own vehicle, valid Driver's License and proof of full vehicle insurance coverage;Negative tuberculosis screen (required);Must pass criminal background check.

    DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY & WORK COMPLEXITYTasks are highly interrelated and simple. Work consists of standard procedures and tasks. May include a high percentage of manual duties.
