    New Lenox Public Library is looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, organized, and resourceful self-starter to join our Library team.

    This marketing role is integral to building awareness of library services in our community and supporting staff with unique print and digital content, including social media.

    The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for:Developing and implementing the marketing plan to support library strategic goals and initiatives by heightening community awareness, understanding, and engagement with library offeringsOverseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of library marketing and communication including brand guidelines, branded items for staff, content strategy, digital and print publicity, and in-library wayfinding and signageUnderstanding fundamentals of various content management systems for website maintenance, updating text, images, and documents on the websiteMonitoring the creation and publishing of media for digital programming and assessing engagement statisticsCoordinating, managing and maintaining the library's virtual presence on social mediaStrategizing with staff to provide graphic design and marketing support Demonstrating creativity, initiative, and ability to work independently to achieve personal, department, library focused goalsCollaborating with Library leadership on organizational development and strategic planningOverseeing budget for design and marketing activitiesActively seeking out grant opportunitiesPerforming other related duties as requiredRequirements include:Requires an Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or other related fields with one year experience working in the fieldBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar degree preferredHigh level of familiarity with and proficiency in digital communications including common social media channels, email marketing, and web content developmentExperience with a wide range of creative applications focusing on design, including Adobe Creative Cloud software, photography, video and audio editing, and screencastingExperience in the design and development of information-heavy print work, digital media, video editing, website development and content management systems Self-starter who takes direction well but also able to work independentlyStrong communication skills when working with community, Library personnel, and vendorsAbility to troubleshoot issues independently and know how to identify solutions using a wide breadth of resourcesDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft and Apple computer systemsDemonstrated experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and CSS; Drupal experience preferredAccess to transportation and ability to travelWhat we offer: Salary: $27.00 per hourFlexible schedule11 paid holidays10 vacation days12 sick daysAdditional paid leave time accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 40 hours workedTuition assistance programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)Comprehensive health and wellness insurance optionsThis full-time, non-exempt position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week and will report to the Executive Director.
