    Operations ManagerDepartment: Financial Aid

    Reports To:

    Director Position Overview:
    Manage the Financial Aid reception area and secretarial support to the Director of Financial Aid Duties and Responsibilities:Train, supervise and evaluate the reception staff and federal work study studentsOversee phone calls and correspondence (including departmental E-mail and voice mail)

    Oversee the financial aid document imaging processHandle incoming calls and respond independently on behalf of the DirectorPrepare staff timesheet for salaried and hourly employeesManage Director's calendar and independently schedule appointmentsManage all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the departmentAdvise students and parents on eligibility requirements for federal, state and institutional aidServe as a liaison to internal departments and external entitiesManage the flow of student traffic in the officeCompile data, prepare reports, and word-processing supportManage file document imaging within the office and recordkeeping of all correspondenceMaintain office supplies and oversee the proper functioning of equipmentsAssist in administering all federal, state and institutional financial aid programsAssist the director on special projectsData entry all departmental awards in our FAM systems & third-party web-based softwareUpdate financial aid collateral, forms and applicationsUpdate financial aid intranet and internet web pages as necessaryUpdate financial aid policy and procedure manual as necessaryAbility to resolve student complaints and or concernsCoordinate travel arrangements for conferences, trainings and special eventsRepresent the department at special events (Open Houses, Orientation, Accepted Students Day, Workshops, etc.)Work evening and weekend hours as necessaryQualifications:
    Bachelor's degree preferred or associate degree requiredSome supervisory experience requiredFamiliarity with Datatel software preferredExcellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsSolid computer skills and superior knowledge of Microsoft applicationsAbility to multi tasks and work independently
