The
Operations Manager at The Royalton Hotel is responsible for the overall duties of the Housekeeping and Front Office operations.

Responsibilities include; accountable for the cleanliness of all areas of the property, staff training, inter
- department communications, and staff scheduling. The Operations Manager will promote an atmosphere that ensures customer and associate satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with guests, and team members.


Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Must be able to manage day-to-day operations, including front office and housekeeping departments, ensuring that the quality and standards meet the expectations of the guests on a daily basis.
  • Provide strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Responsible for short
- and long-term planning and the management of the hotel's Rooms operations.

  • Union Property knowledge
  • Balance the hotel room type inventory.
  • Manage guests' concerns and requirements in a professional and timely manner.
  • Understand the impact of the department's operations and the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed goals.
  • Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
  • Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars
  • Teach employees importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests.
  • See that inspection program is consistently maintained.
  • Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate crossdepartmental communications to ensure a perfect guest experience.
  • Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies.
  • Current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology
  • Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure rooms are in line with the Hotel's standard to prepare for VIP guests, and site visits to secure future business.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels for customer service goals.
  • Inspect rooms daily and provide direct coaching and feedback to associates on MCR service and cleanliness standards as needed.
  • Experience teaching, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Attend and contribute to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for customer service goals.
  • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
