- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or Accounting, plus a minimum of four years demonstrated experience at management level; or a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Accounting, plus two years demonstrated experience at management level.
- Experience in Labor Relations including contracts and grievance negotiations, mediation, and arbitration is desired.
- Extensive knowledge of personnel principles and practices.

We are looking for an experienced director who will provide leadership to internal support functions of the Personnel Department. The position is responsible for the County's Personnel System and direction of the Personnel Department. This individual will be an optimistic and energetic leader that knows current challenges and affords us an opportunity to create more effective and efficient services while serving the employees and taxpayers. This position will be a member of the management team.
Salary range: $126,139 - $165,986, DOQ (starts at $4,851.50/bi-weekly (DOQ) with advancement up to $6,384.11/bi-weekly) The County provides an attractive benefit package including health, dental, and life insurance; flexible benefits plan; optional long-term disability, and accident and health insurances; vacation and sick time; professional development; and retirement contributions through the Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
