    The Need

We are a small, close-knit team punching above our weight and we need a new teammate to help us scale our data, analytics and digital products and services across the company.     The Team

    The Data Analytics and Insights (DAI) team is part of Takeda's Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) organization, which also includes Global Corporate Brand & Communications, Public Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Global Sustainability, and Global Security. Working together, these teams focus on three outcomes:

  • Takeda's priority stakeholders favor the company in line with our distinctive positioning
  • Takeda's reputation is protected from issues and crisis situations, and
  • GCA embraces technology and data-insights to fulfill its aspiration. DAI's mission is to enable GCA team members to confidently unlock insights from data, equipping them to make data-informed decisions that improve business outcomes. We do this through driving behavioral change and building platforms and tools ("ComTech"). We play a vital role in upskilling hundreds of communicators across the company by developing and delivering training on analytics and artificial intelligence. The Role As a co-op within our team, you will report to the Analytics and Innovation Lead and support projects related to all GCA (Global Corporate Affairs) teams. You will work closely with and take direction from other DAI team members. We are a flat team – everyone collaborates and contributes regardless of organizational level. You will partner closely with our Data Digital and Technology (DD&T) colleagues and our agency partners. This co-op role will run from July - December 2024, with exact start and end dates TBD. Accountabilities Dashboard Management
  • Engage in rigorous QA and UX testing to ensure the highest quality and usability of the Digital Communications Dashboard (DCD)
  • Deliver actionable recommendations for DCD enhancements, prioritizing user engagement and functionality
  • Craft compelling demo and marketing videos to showcase the DCD's capabilities and benefits
  • Develop robust processes for tracking issues and documenting decisions, ensuring transparency and efficiency.Knowledge Management
  • Constantly improve the team's Ways of Working related to knowledge asset management, including learning assets that we work with in our day-to-day operations
  • Assist Ada Product manager with intake and library maintenance for communication reports, research reports, "proof points," and the content libraryRedesign Business Processes
  • Collaborate with Corporate Strategy, Global Sustainability, DD&T, and Finance to re-engineer processes for enhanced efficiency and digital integration.Analyze and Automate
  • Support a wide array of projects through data extraction, analytical modeling, and survey implementation, covering various stakeholders and data types (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Generate insightful presentations and detailed reports, leveraging automation to streamline activities and processes wherever possible.Change Management
  • Support the design and delivery of a successful Common KPI campaign for enterprise-wide adoption
  • Improve and increase usage of Common KPIs across Takeda. Experience
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student (within a related field to communications, analytics, etc.) with at least one year of university studies prior to Co-op
  • Returning to university for at least one semester post Co-op
  • Some work experience preferred, but not required.Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills
  • Comfort with statistics and analytical tools
  • Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., MS Power BI, Tableau) in data analysis preferred

Our team works a hybrid schedule, coming into Takeda's 500 Kendall Street office in Cambridge on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and working remote on other days. For Location:Boston, MAU.S. Hourly Wage Range:$ $19.57 The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
