Position Summary:


The Visual Inspector Co-Op is a temporary position to develop the skills of a student enrolled in a high school technical trade program and to evaluate their potential for future opportunities at Straumann.

The Co-op will be trained to inspect and deburr dental implants using a microscope and deburring tools.

Major Responsibilities of the Position (with help and training as needed):

  • Inspect implants under a microscope at 20X.
  • Make sure part finish quality meets visual requirements.
  • Deburr parts as they come off machines.
  • Work with the Machinist to adjust the machine as needed.
  • Follow procedures and complete documentation as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • General manufacturing environment.
  • May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
  • Utilize manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a High School Technical / Vocational Advanced Manufacturing program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A willingness to learn.
  • A commitment to doing a job right and caring about quality.
  • Excellent eyesight and visual acuity.
