- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with managers and associates
- Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding employee relations issues
- Provide guidance to employees regarding policies/procedure questions/concerns
- Interpret policies for managers/supervisors and employees to help ensure consistency
- Ensure that Federal and State laws are properly adhered to and administered at local office
- Assist with unemployment and discrimination charges
- Assist with preparation of employee warnings to ensure fair, consistent treatment of employees. Sit in on written disciplinary actions as company/associate representative as needed
- Coordinate employee grievance process
- Assist with the training of new supervisors/managers on employee relation issues
- Coordinate/assist with transition/severance process as needed
- Keep abreast of current employment related laws and HR practices by reading professional journals/materials and by attending seminars/classes
- Assist and act as backup to other People Services functions/responsibilities
- Work special projects as assigned
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and communication skills
- Good knowledge of employment laws and statutes
- Documentation skills
- Excellent ability to relate to all employees, regardless of positions held
- Analytical and project management skills

Provide professional consultation and assistance on a variety of People Services issues.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Four-year degree in Human Resources or related field
EXPERIENCE:
4 years People Services experience with emphasis in a Generalist role
