    Department:
    District of Columbia Department of Health (DC Health), Community Health Administration (CHA), Health Care Access Bureau (HCAB), Immunization Division
    The Community Health Administration (CHA) works to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities in DC.

    They focus on preventing chronic diseases and vaccine-preventable diseases, promoting healthy behaviors and environments, ensuring access to quality healthcare, and supporting the health of families across all ages.

    The Immunization Division works to prevent and control vaccine-preventable diseases through population health strategies.

    This position is within the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program and focuses on project management and support to improve program effectiveness and collaboration with stakeholders.

    Manage vaccine requests through the online platform and order vaccines from the CDC.
    Analyze data to ensure sufficient vaccine supply is distributed without waste.
    Manage and update program databases.
    Lead technical assistance for the vaccine management platform.
    Develop and deliver content for vaccine provider meetings.
    Collaborate with stakeholders to improve program operations and strategic planning.
    Serve as a resource for internal staff on program procedures and platforms.
    Prepare reports and other materials to support departmental activities.
    Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health, Health Promotion, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    At least 1 year of experience in program evaluation, program coordination, or project management (2 years preferred).
    Certificate in Project Management or Strategic Project Management is preferred.
    Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-direction, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and develop program materials.
    Computer literacy and strong customer service skills.
    Primarily office-based with some remote work flexibility.
    Occasional travel within the community may be required.
    Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 4:45 pm (flexible schedule possible).
    Performance period is from the award date through December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension.
