- Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments in Paycor for precise eligibility information to carriers.
- Conduct quality checks on benefit data.
- Assist team members with benefits claim issues and changes in plans.
- Distribute benefits enrollment materials and validate eligibility.
- Enroll team members with carriers and aid in life status updates.
- Address benefits inquiries from team members.
- Manage all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork.
- Interpret FMLA and ADA implications for leaves of absence and disabilities.
- Handle 401k inquiries related to enrollments, plan adjustments, and contributions.
- Oversee annual 401k Catch-Up contribution enrollment.
- Administer 401k enrollment process.
- Provide required reporting and census for billing and allocation.
- Assist in the annual review and selection of benefit plans.
- Coordinate team members' annual benefit enrollment via Paycor and manual data entry.
- Communicate, implement, and maintain team member vacation and holiday schedules.
- Process team members' separation including benefits termination and COBRA qualification.
- Offer expert guidance on FMLA, ADA, COBRA, FSLA, and other labor laws.

Human Resources Benefits Specialist
Position Overview:
Collaborates with Human Resources leadership to manage the administration of benefits and retirement programs, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, 401k, and Profit-Sharing plans, in addition to handling special projects and other assigned tasks.
Principal DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Certification, Computer and/or Experience:
BS/BA in Human Resources or related field with at least three (3) years of experience as a Human Resources Benefits Specialist. Proficiency in PayCor is essential, with PayCor certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to manage multiple benefit tasks in a fast-paced environment. HIPPA certification is mandatory.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written English skills required, Spanish proficiency is advantageous. Comfortable interacting with team members, delivering top-notch customer service, public speaking, and providing instructional guidance. Ability to interpret and explain company benefits and employment law. Skilled in presenting information effectively, gathering input, and responding to inquiries.
Professional Skills:
Must be a team player with a strong desire for self-improvement. Proactive, self-disciplined, and self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and earn trust of team members and managers.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills:
Basic math abilities required for benefit-related calculations. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions independently. Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing information to resolve issues effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Duties may include sitting, using hands for computer tasks, reaching, talking, and occasional lifting. Vision abilities necessitate close focus for reading written materials and computer work.
Work Environment:
Primary office work setting with occasional remote work. Noise levels are low to moderate in office settings and moderate in warehouse areas.
