Job Overview: The Financial Controller at our client's facility in Hudson, MA is a crucial member of the management team, responsible for providing accurate financial insights and strategic guidance. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with US accounting standards, supporting commercial decision-making, and overseeing the financial operations of a world-leading manufacturer of precision weight measurement technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Managing Director to ensure accurate monthly financial statements for effective business management.
Guide local accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Support commercial decision-making with emphasis on pricing strategies and margin analysis.
Prepare and ensure timely submission of financial statements to relevant stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements.
Participate in monthly finance reviews to discuss financial performance.
Assist in the development and presentation of annual budgets aligned with business objectives.
Maintain accurate financial records, including journals and Trial Balances.
Manage Standard Costing data accuracy and support Working Capital/Inventory analyses.
Use Cognos for group reporting and analysis.
Coordinate with local audit teams and ensure adherence to group policies.
Manage cash flow and maintain relationships with local banks.
Prepare weekly reports on orders, sales, and cash flow.
Supervise the Accounting Clerk team and oversee HR functions, including payroll processing.

Requirements Include:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Certifications: CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Key Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, leadership, and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
