Controller
Our preeminent fencing company is expanding again and hiring a Controller.

As the Controller, you will lead the accounting and finance function at the Company and will be responsible for directing all financial aspects of the Company in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


Additionally, you will provide executive leadership and insight for the Company by working with the senior leadership to support the Company's long-term strategic goals.

You must be capable of doing higher level work such as month end close and budgeting/forecasting but also willing to be hands-on at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Direct and oversee the month end close function.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for the senior leadership team.
  • Prepare and maintain annual budget and forecast and perform analysis of budget/forecast variances and financial trends.
  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and oversees compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Monitor financial covenants of debt agreements, prepare quarterly compliance reports, and maintain current lender relationships.
  • Lead the development of new product standard costs, annual revision of all standard costs and perform a broader product portfolio cost of goods analysis.
  • Responsible for daily cash activities and capital distributions.
  • Manage annual financial audit which includes developing audit schedule, ensuring required documentation is prepared in a timely manner, and interacting with the auditors.
  • Monitor realtime sales data and analyze sales trends of customers.
  • Performs business analytics which inform ongoing pricing strategy.
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions and assist with integration if one is completed.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree mandatory and _Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred_
  • Must have some experience in a smaller company where you were handson
  • 8+ years of accounting and finance experience with successful career progression
  • QuickBooks experience and strong Excel skills required
  • Must have experience working in an entrepreneurial culture
  • Strong communication skills

Pay:
$100, $145,000.00 per year
