    Description
    Pallidus is an early growth stage company ready to ramp to high volume production. Electronic vehicles and 5G devices are using more and more silicon carbide semiconductor devices and components.

    Pallidus grows Silicon Carbide crystals, slices and finishes these crystals into Silicon Carbide wafers then sells 150mm SiC wafers to the power electronics and RF semiconductor markets.

    This role supports transitioning Pallidus from development to production in its Albany NY location.

    As a Production Engineer for Pallidus, you will have an opportunity to lead the build out of our pilot process to full production, then owning the system thereafter.

    Ideal Production Engineer has experience with day-to-day production in a manufacturing environment, owning key metrics and running various projects. The role will be hands on and have plenty room for career advancement as Pallidus grows.
    Responsibilities Include
    Integrating technology processes into production via leading various capex and program projects
    Ownership and reporting of manufacturing performance on up-time, yields, and equipment performance
    Support technicians and supervisors to keep production schedules and obtain quality goals
    Knowledge of ISO9001 and developing practices and procedures to ensure compliance.
    Support manufacturing activities as required to exceed production targets in quality and delivery
    Lead installing, maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting equipment as required
    Lead and assist with product and process validation activities, as required
    Create checklists on equipment and facility as needed to deliver up-time
    Develop and implement training plans and training for operations as required
    Maintain a safe, clean well house kept work environment
    Develop cost out and productivity programs as needed to support production goals
    PREPARATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
    BS in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Similar
    Various engineering experience in design, build and managing production
    Preference is 5-10 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with special preference for semiconductor materials, crystal growth and wafering production experience
    PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
    Must be able to work as part of a team
    Organized, analytical and methodical in problem solving.
    Excellent communication, drive, and decision-making skills
    Familiar with MS Office
    Experience with CAD
    Proven experience in the engineering field
    High expectations of cleanliness
    Ability to make decisions under pressure
