    Project Controls Analyst - Houston, United States - Venture Global LNG

    Description
    Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas.

    The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

    Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

    We are seeking a Project Controls Analyst to join our team to support Engineering and Procurement ("E&P") oversight of the EPC contractor working closely with both VG and EPC teams.

    The E&P Analyst will help drive project activities and is responsible for achieving safe, cost effective, timely, and contractually compliant project results.

    This position is based in our Houston, Texas, office and will report to the E&P Project Controls Manager.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Lead a Safe work culture
    • Provide analysis for the Engineering and Procurement scopes of work through effective communication, coordination and follow-up with project team in order to meet project goals and objectives
    • Oversight, administration, and ongoing reporting of contractor performance, progress, Value of Work Done, commitments, project budgets, forecasts, and actuals
    • Engage with project management in order to drive project success
    • Understand industry standards
    • Support the mitigation of project challenges through creative and innovating problem solving
    • Contribute to effective and efficient project controls oversight of projects
    • Report on project status through monitoring and evaluation of performance, constraints and issues to Senior and Executive Management
    • Perform additional assignments as required
    Desired Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or construction management with experience in oil and gas, engineering and construction projects
    • 5+ years of relevant project controls experience on major capital projects (preferably in LNG Liquefaction, oil and gas, or power generation)
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines and adjust as priority changes occur
    • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
    • Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
    • Ability to work within a team with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information
