Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager
Kearfott is looking for an experienced Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager that has experience in managing the talent acquisition function for an aerospace and defense corporation. This position will be responsible for implementing and managing a talent acquisition department, with strategies and processes to proactively build and maintain a quality talent pipeline by sourcing passive and active candidates. This includes analysis of current and future organizational workforce needs and implementing plans to ensure quality staffing continuity. Understanding of external labor market conditions and establishing networks to build relationships with candidates, agencies, schools, and associations and attract diverse quality talent is required.
Responsibilities include:
Establishment and management of a formal streamlined and automated recruitment process.
The hiring, training, and management of recruitment staff to handle both hourly and salaried positions.
Establishment and reporting of talent acquisition metrics such as time to fill, attrition rates, sourcing channel effectiveness, cost per hire etc.
Management of agencies to assure Kearfott has a preferred list of agencies with agreements and specialization in the desired fields.
Development of strategies and processes to attract, proactively build, and maintain a quality talent pipeline and fill open positions by sourcing passive and active candidates.
Assessment of workforce planning by identifying current and future workforce needs and determining recruitment capacity and resources.
Assessment of external labor market conditions, development of the most effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods to recruit talent.
Execution of a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer.
Building and maintaining relationships with recruitment agencies, schools, and associations to meet recruitment and affirmative action needs.
Running and managing the intern recruitment program.
Screen resumes, interview and evaluate candidates for fit and placement, and evaluate assessment results from interviewers.
Negotiate offers and prepare new hire packages.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
Excellent organizational skills.
Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Required Experience
At least 5 years' experience leading a talent acquisition department in an aerospace and defense corporation
Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) with understanding of engineering concepts to adequately qualify engineering candidates
At least 3 years' experience managing subordinates in a talent acquisition department
Experience establishing and maintaining recruitment reporting metrics
Extensive experience with managing and working with applicant tracking systems
Experience maintaining and reporting on Affirmative Action metrics related to talent acquisition and hiring for OFCCP reporting
Experience establishing a talent acquisition department from the ground up
Experience streamlining and automating the recruitment process
Experience with talent acquisition of aerospace and defense engineers
