Description
We are seeking a permanent full-time manual Software QA Engineer to collaborate with cross-discipline project team members to create, review and execute quality testing plans for one or more assigned Product Delivery teams.
The Software QA Engineer will work closely with software developers, product managers, and peer software test engineers. This is a growing software quality assurance team, with plenty of opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
Apply past experiences working within the PEO/payroll industry to create and execute detailed and comprehensive test plans for PrismHR products.
This includes anticipating how "real world" users interact with our software from a variety of roles to create end-to-end tests.
Participate in the entire development life cycle from concept to release in an Agile environmentLearn software industry standard quality assurance practices, including but not limited to test case design, software defect reporting, and agile testing techniques, as well as common software QA toolsEnhance the collective industry understanding of the entire QA team and their ability to create realistic test cases, through occasional training and mentoring of peers on PEO subject matterContribute to the creation of realistic test dataDelivers and tracks progress to testing schedules, within aggressive "time-to-market" driven project environments, sometimes across parallel projectsCollaborates within the QA team and across product development on process improvement initiativesRegularly summarizes testing status and areas of risk, and wherever possible proposes and executes mitigation strategies.
Employs a sound risk management approach to determine well-structured and comprehensive test strategies for assigned projectsCollaborate with automation QA engineers to identify and prioritize areas for significant efficiency and confidence gains through test automationAnalyzes, tracks, and reports on application issues and maintains documentation on project issues and defect metricsQualifications:Required minimum 3 years of experience within the PEO or payroll industryExperience with PrismHR software a plusExpert with payroll taxes, submissions, calculations, and applications such as Vertex and MastertaxProficient with certified payrolls, unions, FLSA, EEO, ACACollege degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer ScienceCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plusPrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application.
PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training.Lastly, via the Company's Marketplace platform customers and end users access other human resources and employee benefits applications from PrismHR's Marketplace Partners.
