About the Department



We are currently seeking a "Radar System Engineer (m/f/d)" for our "Radar Concepts & New Products Engineering" department at our location in Ulm.

Our team consists of physicists, mathematicians, and electrical engineers who work together to develop innovative radar systems from concept to prototype. Our goal is to provide cutting-edge radar technology for new products, such as cognitive radar systems, artificial intelligence applications, and the use of quantum technology in radar systems. We also work on novel concepts, such as radar sensors for unmanned aviation and air taxis.

We also support the product development departments of HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH with specific radar expertise and work on implementing and introducing new approaches in systems engineering, such as model-based systems engineering (MBSE).

Your Responsibilities

  • Application of model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Modeling of interconnected technical systems in the context of system of systems (SoS)
  • Design and analysis of novel radar systems, particularly for unmanned aircraft (Future Combat Air System)
  • Development of radar architectures and systems
  • Participation in international radar research conferences
  • Participation in committees for model-based systems engineering
