What tasks will you be responsible for?

  • Your tasks will include traditional press work: dealing with journalists as well as your colleagues from the DIHK specialist departments or the IHKs or the main management
  • Processing of information and organization of interviews, even under high time pressure
  • Creating press releases, placing topics and news
  • Writing and editing press statements, organizing and coordinating interview preparations as well as background discussions
  • You will also research difficult economic policy topics and compile information from various sources in a understandable and substantively sound manner.

What should you bring?

  • You have successfully completed a university degree with a focus on business journalism, media and communication sciences, as well as a journalistic training.
  • You have professional experience in the field of political journalism, business journalism, an agency or in press work.
  • You have a strong interest in economic and sociopolitical topics and are able to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
  • You have a good sense of style, write precisely and can present complex technical, economic and legal facts in an easily understandable way.
  • You have a strong sense for news, effective texts and images as well as online content that users like to share and be inspired by, as well as a good feeling for the German language.
  • You have a high affinity for digital media, especially social networks.
  • You enjoy working independently, are committed and a motivated, resilient and communicative team player.
  • You have a secure command of the English
