Job Description:


As an Itasca Electronics Technician specializing in industrial operations, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in an iron and aluminum foundry.

This position requires a 3.5-year apprenticeship program.

During your apprenticeship, you will receive training at both the company and vocational school. The vocational school is located in Wuerzburg. Under certain conditions, it is possible to shorten the apprenticeship program.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Building, expanding, modifying, maintaining, and repairing energy supply systems, control systems, drive systems, and lighting systems
  • Assembling and installing devices and equipment according to construction drawings and circuit diagrams
In addition to technical skills, this apprenticeship will also focus on developing your social, personal, and methodological competencies. This includes training on values, personality, communication, and personal goal setting. You will also have the opportunity to participate in apprentice projects.

There are also opportunities for professional development, such as attending courses on control technology, PLCs, and robotics.

With sufficient work experience, there are also opportunities for advancement to positions such as foreman, master craftsman, technician, or engineer.
