The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (BBAW) is an association of scientists with a history of over 300 years, which promotes dialogue between science and society. Its scientific profile is primarily characterized by basic research in the humanities and cultural sciences, interdisciplinary social and political consulting in various fields, and the communication of science to the public.

The task of the "Information Technology" (IT) department of the TELOTA - IT/DH department of the BBAW is to provide and maintain central services and IT services for the digital operation of administration, scientific research projects, archives and library, as well as for interdisciplinary working groups in a smooth and demand-oriented manner. This includes not only the support of users of IT services, but also the hardware components for servers, storage and network.
