    Description


    A large and growing Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing company is looking to hire a full time Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Middlebury, CT.

    This position will be responsible for improving goals in a customer focused quality management system that supports an operations facility of precision machining as well as special processes.


    Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:

    • Leads internal audits to support QMS compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
    • Analyzes root causes, develops corrective action to prevent recurrence of root cause, participates in verification of effectiveness of actions taken.
    • Comprehend, communicate, and improve quality standards driven by customer specifications
    • Participate in Material Review Board assessments of defective materials then gives direction for containment, and/or disposition actions in a timely manner
    • Independently plans and implements improvement projects to inspection operations at key manufacturing workflow stages including precision product inspection methods, programming gage systems of CMMs.

    Quality Engineer Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degrees + minimum 4 years of experience
    • Technical expertise in operations at the facility.
    • ISO/AS9100 quality system knowledge
