Job Qualifications
Education:
A bachelor's degree in engineering is usually required, with a focus on disciplines such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
Prior Experience:
several years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry or automotive parts manufacturing.
Automotive Industry Experience:
Experience working in the automotive industry provides valuable insights into industry-specific quality requirements, standards, and best practices.
Manufacturing Experience:
Experience with manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality control methods used in automotive parts manufacturing is highly beneficial.
Project Management Experience:
Experience managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering results within budget and timeline constraints is desirable.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems:
Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and automotive-specific standards like IATF Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
Statistical Analysis:
Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and tools, including statistical process control (SPC), capability analysis, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments (DOE), to analyze process data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and 8D methodology, to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, and senior management. Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections, analyzing data, and documenting quality-related activities.
Quality Tools and Techniques:
Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, process mapping, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate quality risks.
Computer Skills:
