- Your tasks include the coordination of all global logistical activities with the destination in the United States, including the organization and support of all interfaces to internal and external logistics service providers.
- In addition, you will independently create logistical concepts for upcoming projects, making sensible use of all available resources, starting with stocking materials, continuing with the control of hourly and cost budgets, right up to the procurement of all documents necessary for international goods traffic in accordance with the applicable regulations (Customer contract, letters of credit, customs and foreign trade regulations).
- You are also responsible for the logistical development and independent implementation of global supply chains for project and product, including auditing and evaluating freight forwarders, freight forwarders and other logistical service providers.
- The tasks mentioned include in particular the independent preparation of preliminary and final calculations of the entire project and order-related logistics costs, starting from the creation of the tender documents through to the creation of specific packaging and shipping regulations.
- Based on the specifications mentioned, you will also play a leading role in awarding and controlling order processing as well as the technical assessment of the supplier/carrier
- You will also be responsible for setting up and organizing logistical claims management, transport and storage-oriented hazardous materials and dangerous goods management, as well as an internal export control and customs organization that meets legal requirements.
- You have completed a (technical) university degree with a focus on supply chain.
- You already have 7+ of professional experience in the area of logistics/supply chain management. Ideally with a connection to international flows of goods with a manufacturing focus in project business and some management experience.
- Your technical and commercial understanding helps you understand what the upstream and downstream departments also need in the process.
- You have the ability to present complex issues in a simple and understandable way and can communicate across a wide range of hierarchy levels in a way that is appropriate for the recipient.
- You have an independent and result-oriented way of working, strong analytical thinking skills as well as negotiation skills, persuasiveness and a high level of team orientation.

Position Overview:As the Lead Logistics Manager, your role encompasses comprehensive coordination of logistical activities on a global level with the final destination in the United States. This includes interfacing with both internal teams and external logistics service providers to ensure seamless cross-order operations. You will be tasked with devising logistical strategies for upcoming projects, optimizing resource utilization, managing budgets, and obtaining necessary documentation for international goods traffic in compliance with regulations.
Furthermore, you will spearhead the development and implementation of global supply chains, conducting audits of logistics service providers, and evaluating their performance. Your responsibilities extend to preparing detailed cost calculations for projects, managing tender processes, and overseeing order processing while ensuring compliance with technical standards.
Additionally, you will establish and manage logistical claims, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods management systems, as well as oversee internal export control and customs compliance measures to meet legal requirements effectively.
