Position Summary:

Supports the GWH Transportation Department with the training of GWH drivers to the expectations, regulations, and standards.

The LLM will oversee the execution of all set runs for store, outlet, and ADC operations, to include VIP donations.

This position will be a liaison between the stores and transportation to ensure that proper communication is taking place with all deliveries within the enterprise.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all transportation set runs are properly recorded each day via start of day, and end of day communication for store, outlet and ADC runs.
  • Ensure all drivers are properly equipped with all necessary tools to perform job duties.
  • Follow up with drivers consistently to ensure all routes are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are being followed, pretrip, midtrip, and posttrip.
  • Support in conducting weekly/monthly L10 meetings with drivers to recap operation and safety performance.
  • Conduct weekly visits with drivers to gauge and coach performance to include safety performance.
  • Collaborate with the team members at the location to ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Supervises the daily activities of dock and salvage Team Members to maintain consistent processing of all materials meeting production and safety standards.
  • Managers and provides oversight for donation river flow within stores and Attended Donation Centers (ADC's) to ensure proper product flow to include monitoring of all material handling equipment for the enterprise.
  • Ensures that the promotion, collection, transportation, production, sales, external/internal distribution of donated products, and related operational and sales activities are properly integrated to achieve maximum profitability and quality customer service.
  • Ensures the logistics with vendors for the sale, recycling, and disposal of salvage goods (apparel, shoes, books, etc.); recyclable materials (cardboard, metals, glass, cellular phones, computers, etc.); trash; and hazardous materials; maximizing postretail revenue opportunities and minimizing disposal costs.
  • Instructs Team Members on the offload and onload methods and all other procedures to instill a serviceconscious attitude and minimize service failures and injuries.
  • Ensures that loading and unloading of vehicles are performed utilizing sound safety practices (i.e., lifting, safe use of equipment, etc.) and accidents are reported immediately to the supervisor and People Operations.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate professionalism and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.
  • Must be punctual and have dependable attendance.
  • Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.
  • Must be able to work 12 to 14 hrs. per day, four (4) days a week with flexibility to work a 5th day as needed.
  • Must be available via cell phone consistently to adhere to all transportation concerns.
  • Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and work in a teamoriented, fastpaced work environment.
  • Must maintain an appropriate appearance and adhere to GWH's dress code.
  • Must conduct work in a safe manner and report all accidents and/or injuries immediately.
  • Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Free from drugs and alcohol.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of dispatch experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
