    Description

    Our client is a well known family-owned and operated drywall, acoustics and ceiling company with decades of experience in the construction industry and a list on enviable clients Located in New York, East of the City they specialize in diverse industry sectors including healthcare, hospitality and education.

    The entire Company is fully focused on the client relationship, the experience from start to finish and delivering projects on time.

    About the Role

    • 8+ years Project Management experience in Commercial Construction required.
    • Degree in Construction Management or similar studies.
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
    • Competent in preparing construction documents.
    • Preferably experience with Timberline, Sage, Procore, Microsoft Office Project.
    • Analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Decision making skills.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    About the Candidate
    • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields.
    • You MUST be New York based and know the New York market.
    • Familiarity with construction management software.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Deadline and detail-oriented.
    • Must be familiarized with plans, specifications and scope of work.
    • Participate in project meetings, internally or on-site, to report status and achievements, discuss obstacles and project issues, coordinate with client, plan next action steps.
    • Understand all key contractual obligations, including scopes of work, our proposed clarifications, committed schedule, area durations, add alternates and deducts, etc.
    • Preparation of construction submittals and logs.
    • Submittal registers, RFI's/ASI's, change orders register, Monitor risk areas to ensure that procedures are being followed.
