    Your Impact

    The Assistant Food Service Director impact is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of food service activities within the organization. Collaborating closely with the Food Service Director, you play a multifaceted role in driving excellence, efficiency, and innovation across all aspects of food service management. The Assistant Food Service Director is dedicated to fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among food service staff. Through training, coaching, and mentorship, I empower team members to excel in their roles, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold the organization's mission and values.

    Job Specific Duties

    • Manage all aspects of food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
    • Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs effectively
    • Utilize POS systems for order processing and tracking sales data
    • Lead and train staff in culinary techniques, customer service, and operational procedures
    • Coordinate banquet events and catering services
    • Collaborate with kitchen management to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

    What you will need

    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
    • 3+ years proven experience in food service management, restaurant management, or a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
    • Proficiency in inventory control and cost management
    • Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing
    • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff
    • Experience in catering operations is a plus
    • Certification in Culinary Arts or Kitchen Management is advantageous
    • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card
    • Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
    • Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.

    Physical and Sensory Requirements

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks such as computer work, paperwork, and trayline operations such as standing up looking at trays or monitors for long periods. This may involve walking, standing, and occasionally navigating stairs or elevators. The employee is frequently exposed to the kitchen environment such as fumes, or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet & or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat & vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
