Your Impact


The Patient Service Manager's impact is instrumental in providing nutritious, delicious, and safe meals to patients, thereby contributing to their overall health and well-being during their stay in the healthcare facility.

By collaborating with nutritionists, chefs, and dietary staff, I ensure that meals align with patients' dietary restrictions, preferences, and medical needs.

By fostering a culture of responsiveness and attentiveness among food service staff, you will ensure that patients feel valued and cared for throughout their dining experience.


Job Specific Duties

  • Lead and manage our patient services program, ensuring seamless operations and a patientcentric approach to hospitality.
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians, culinary staff, and healthcare professionals to develop nutritious and appealing menus that meet patient dietary requirements, preferences, and therapeutic needs. Ensure menu offerings are diverse, culturally sensitive, and comply with dietary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the clinical nutrition team, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Foster a collaborative and growthoriented environment within the team.
  • Develop and execute engaging programs to educate patients and staff on healthy eating habits.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized nutrition plans for patients.
  • Actively engage with patients to understand their nutritional needs and preferences.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Regularly evaluate and enhance nutrition programs based on industry best practices.
  • Represent the organization in community health initiatives and events to promote nutritional education.
  • Collaborate with external partners to expand the reach of our nutrition programs.

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related field required; Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential or ability to obtain is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service operations, preferably in a healthcare setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, clinical nutrition principles, and dietary guidelines for various medical conditions and populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and infection control practices.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of current trends and research in clinical nutrition and food service management.
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
