    Division Overview:
    Transmission & Distribution
    Ampirical's Transmission & Distribution Division (T&D) manages and designs concurrent large-scale transmission projects.

    Our engineering employees have designed hundreds of miles of overhead transmission and distribution lines for a variety of energy clients.

    We utilize the latest in design software tools to provide a thorough technical line design.

    Job Summary:


    The Civil Engineer works within a multi-disciplinary team work on large-scale power grid projects for major energy providers throughout the states.

    You'll join a team committed to bringing technology to the power industry while understanding, respecting, and protecting the reliability of the electrical grid.

    . Below are some highlights.
    The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $135,000, depending on relevant experience, education, and licenses.

    We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success In the past, these have ranged between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

    Who You Are:
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
    Experience in design/drafting with a utility or engineering firm

    Specifically, experience working on SDG&E projects

    PE License required, Civil or Electrical specialty preferred
    Thorough knowledge of Power Engineering and its sub-disciplines, equipment, and industry codes/standards
    Ability to prioritize work and manage tasks for multiple projects under budget and time constraints
    High level of personal initiative and ability to interact with personnel, clients, and contractors
    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
