    Accounting Associate

    12 week assignment

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator to provide temporary coverage for a 12-week FMLA leave. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and receivable.

    Responsibilities:
    • Prepares work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
    • Processes accounts payable by verifying transaction information, scheduling payments, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization.
    • Processes accounts receivable by verifying transaction information, calculating charges and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
    • Manages delinquent accounts by sending reminders and notifying customers of outstanding payments.
    • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
    • Reconciles statements and transactions to ensure accuracy.
    • Investigates and resolves account discrepancies.
    • Maintains internal accounting controls to ensure financial security.
    • Backs up databases to secure financial information.
    • Files accounting documents to maintain accurate historical records.
    • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
