    Accounting Associate

    12 week assignment


    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator to provide temporary coverage for a 12-week FMLA leave.

    In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and receivable.


    Responsibilities:
    Prepares work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
    Processes accounts payable by verifying transaction information, scheduling payments, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization.
    Processes accounts receivable by verifying transaction information, calculating charges and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
    Manages delinquent accounts by sending reminders and notifying customers of outstanding payments.
    Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
    Reconciles statements and transactions to ensure accuracy.
    Investigates and resolves account discrepancies.
    Maintains internal accounting controls to ensure financial security.
    Backs up databases to secure financial information.
    Files accounting documents to maintain accurate historical records.
    Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Strong organizational and time management skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
