Qualifications

  • 35 years of experience in accounting or auditing in a business environment, preferably a School District.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting or an equivalent Business Field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving skills and organization skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with fellow employees.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operation for general ledger accounting.
  • Responsible for adding new accounts to and deleting old accounts from the general ledger.
  • Coordinate the processing of general ledger information provided by the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll departments.
  • Responsible for writing up and entering recurring monthly journal entries, and assisting with month end and year end closing journal entries.
  • Responsible for the completion of the District's major bank reconciliations including but not limited to the General Fund, Payroll and Accounts Payable.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Treasurer's report.
  • Assist in the preparation of the X report.
  • Responsible for processing budget transfers.
  • Preparation of monthly reports including but not limited to the principal's report, the account detail reports, and the open purchase order reports.
  • Assist with the completion of the month end closing procedures.
  • Assist with the completion of the year end closing procedures.
  • Reconciliation of the scholarship fund, federal funds and all subsidies received by the District.
  • Assist with the accounting of Federal Funds providing information for quarterly reports and year end reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of the District annual budget and budget book.
  • Assist with all of the audits of the District by federal, state and local auditors.
  • Data collection and entry for ACT 16 Reporting.
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by the Assistant Business Manager.

Pay:
$28.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
