    Job Overview: Five Star Painting is a well-known, fast growing international paint company specializing in residential and commercial re-repaints. We are looking to hire a Production Manager for the West Houston franchise. This position will be an integral part in the growth of our franchise.

    As a Production Manager, you are a key team member in upholding our commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism. You will coordinate and guide residential and commercial painting jobs from customer contract approval though the scheduling, production and customer approval stages and serve as the focal point for communication among the various involved parties. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

    You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. You have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers and are able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.     Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Serve as a daily point of contact for customers
    • Oversee crews and all aspects of production
    • Ensure assigned projects are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting clients' needs and delivering a quality project
    • Plan, schedule and coordinate painting projects from estimated to completed in close consultation with the owners and when necessary architects, contractors, remodelers and other representatives
    • Hire and maintain competent painting subcontractor crews and keep proper ratios of painting crews to projects
    • Coordinating other trades such as: pressure washing, carpenters, stucco repair, etc.
    • Lead weekly production meetings and ensure proper document control and recordkeeping
    • Complete necessary administrative paperwork and duties including determination of subcontractor weekly payments
    • Provide weekly reports to the President of Five Star Painting of West Houston
    Required Skills and Attributes:
    • Three to five years of years of industry related experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications
    • Professional appearance and personality
    • Team player who can work independently
    • Punctual
    • Ability and willingness to fill in as a Salesperson/estimator for short periods of time
    • Willing to join networking groups to promote Five Star of West Houston and develop business contacts
    • Bi-lingual is a plus
    Compensation:
    • Base salary plus commission or straight commission options
    • Mileage
    • Unlimited earning potential
