    SALARY :
    $100-$125K/year, Full-Time, Exempt


    BONUS:
    Up to 30% of salary, annual

    ABOUT OUR HOTEL
    4th largest hotel in Seattle
    Stable operation – hotel has never been sold
    Never closed during the pandemic even though about 30 other hotels in Seattle were closed for more than 1 year

    Although we had to lay-off 90% of our staff at the beginning of the pandemic, we brought the majority of them back.

    Our people are very loyal to the hotel & were waiting for our call to return.
    Hotel review rating on Marriott website is higher than other Seattle Marriott full-service sister hotels including W-Hotel, Westin, Marriott, Sheraton


    JOB SUMMARY
    You know what it's like to work in a hotel, otherwise you would not be reading this
    You LOVE people and LOVE to take care of them, right? Keep reading.
    You are an HR Pro and know what happens in HR. A lot.

    You are in charge of our people before they are even our people, once they are our people, and beyond.

    What does it take? Let's see how many tasks we come up with; feel free to add, because we probably forgot some.

    Recruit, interview, new hire paperwork, onboarding, orientation, training, benefits, answering a million questions, capitalize on Marriott resources, plan fun employee events, investigate stuff, coach, mentor, discipline, terminate, analyze, paperwork, more paperwork, console, emphasize, cheerlead (pom poms optional), performance reviews, shared payroll responsibility with our Finance folks – that's a win, regulatory things (we are so glad there are only city, county, state, and federal jurisdictions to consider), herding cats, Worker's Comp, leaves of absences, unemployment claims, employment verification, review & write policies, DEI, community service, EEO.

    You get the idea.
    Needless to say, this is NOT a remote/hybrid gig

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
    3+ years progressive experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management for a work force of at least 150 people
    Computer skills essential. ADP experience preferred.
    Hospitality related field a BIG plus
    Multi-lingual a BIG plus What languages? You name it, we probably got it.
    PHR/SPHR a plus
