- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with 5 years of managerial experience.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
