As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section, and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior throughout the lifespan.
The Rare CNV project is a collaborative project between Penn Medicine and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) designed to follow longitudinally a highly informative cohort of a rare genetic disorder - 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome.
This work will identify convergent risk mechanisms for developmental neuropsychiatric disorders that have relevance to the broader population.The Clinical Research Coordinator A will conduct clinical assessments of adolescents and young adults as well as their parents and follow them longitudinally.

The Clinical Research Coordinator A will take part in multiple aspects of a Longitudinal 22q study including recruitment, screening and assessment of potential participants, scheduling of research visits, conducting semi-structured clinical interviews with participants and their parents, administration of neurocognitive tests, and collection and maintenance of clinical and neurocognitive data.
The Coordinator will also be responsible for presenting the data in team meetings, conducting quality assurance, uploading data in relevant databases, and accurately maintaining project databases and other participant related information.
QualificationsBachelors Degree in biomedical related field with 1-2 years experience is required. However, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, adolescents, and young adults, as well as their parents is important for the project.
Experience in semi-structured diagnostic interviewing and psychological testing are preferred.The candidate must have strong organizational skills, ability to interact with individuals and families, oral and written communication, and computer skills.
Candidates must possess demonstrated computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, data management skills, and experience working independently. Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
